The 60th issue of New Zealand Snowboarder mag will hit shelves on Monday, with perfect timing as the country gets slammed with some solid early season snow....Could this be THE year?. Since first coming out in 1993, New Zealand Snowboarder has been through 22 seasons, everyone producing a different outcome. 2013 was not a classic but it still offered up some epic riding if you were in the right place at the right time.
In this issue, thats exactly what happened for Will Jackways, Stef Z and Connor Harding, who scored crazy good conditions in the Cass Valley region, Stef calling the best riding he has ever had in NZ!. Read how those guys spent 3 days and 2 nights embedded in the Alps with half a metre of fresh snow. Will J also features again, this time showing the results of spending 7 days in a heli shooting with legend Anti Autti..!.
Theres a profile on Alex Stewart, Mahi Mains, and Olly Hanbury-Webber who are taking it to the streets when the opportunities arise. On the opposite side of the ledger, Shane Orchard and Ruari Macfarlane report back from their Fiordland expedition and talk of first descents.
Further into the issue, and on a more sombre note, editor Joel Wescot talks to Ruari about how he became the first New Zealand rider to solo climb then descend the East face of Mt Cook back in November on the same day that saw our highest peak claim another life.
Coupled with a detailed Buyers Guide, a Back 7 trick tip with 'Bilzie', profiles on Spy Dunbar, Seb Judge and John Jay Rayward, and gallery #60, theres plenty to entertain!...On Sale Monday the 5th May..
