Good morning folks. A nice day ahead. A crisp start to the day with minus 5 in the village with a little SE cloud lingering around. Lots of snow around the Mt Cook village to build snowmen and women. Operating today. 60cms of new snow so skiing and snowshoeing will be fun for the next few days of fine weather.

Our concessions allow us to heli-ski in some of the most beautiful and spectacular glacier terrain in New Zealand. We exclusive use of the whole head of the Tasman Glacier and Darwin Bowls region. The vertical terrain is enormous and the runs are from 5 to 10 kilometres long! Our heli-skiing, located on New Zealands longest and largest glaciers, is a world of breathtaking beauty and spectacular scenery. Our helicopter landing sites are located in some of the highest areas of the Southern Alps inside the Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. Owner and Chief Guide Charlie Hobbs is one of New Zealand's most experienced mountain and ski guides. He is an internationally qualified IFMGA/UIAGM guide. Charlie will guide guests through these areas of glaciated terrain and enormous icefalls, crevasses and ice canyons with your safety his first priority. He knows the area like "the back of his hand" and will give you a day of great adventure and skiing. Glacier Heli Skiing and Tasman Glacier Heli Ski areas include: The Upper Tasman Glacier Region: Hochstetter Shoulder 2635m (8645ft) 1135 vertical metres. Run lengths 10-12km Aylmer Col 2628m (8622ft). Run lengths 10-12km The Murchison Glacier: Aylmer Col - Tasman Saddle/Headwall 2628m (7988ft) 1275 veritcal metres. Run length 10km The Mannering Glacier: Via Taman Saddle and Starvation Saddle 2210m (7251ft). Run length 5km Darwin Glacier Bowls: 2327m (7634ft) 850 vertical metres. Run lengths 5.5km 2346m (7697ft) and run length 6km Richardson Glacier at 2100m, (just outside the park). Run length of 5.5km. We also Heli Ski the Hopkins Range and The Black Hills in the Ruataniwha Park which is great for intermediate boarders and skiers.
