What a fantastic lead-up to the snow sports season we're having. Bucket loads of storm cycles bringing significant early snow to the ski and board areas around the country. The forecast continues to excite with snow due for most areas to low levels again from this weekend as a southern raider moves up from the poles this Saturday and again on Tuesday.

Flow State
The greatest extreme snow sports movie of 2013, Warren Miller’s ‘Flow State’, continues tonight and this weekend in Dunedin & Christchurch. Then its on to Wellington and finishing up in Arrowtown on 18 July.
Snow lovers will be blown away by powder skiing and snowboarding on the peaks of Japan, Norway, Switzerland, Alaska, California and beyond. Flow State – where the mountain meets the mind.

Arrived in Istanbul on our way to Sochi Test Event Wow, so we made it to Istanbul after 24 hours travel from Colorado. We are now staying here for the next 2 days to recover from training and travel before jumping on a plane on Sunday to Sochi, Russia. Read more...

Treble Cone

The many summer projects and upgrades are now nearing completion, this year at Treble Cone you'll discover a new Jazz Kids Fun Trail in the Home Basin and a new Children's Trail Map which will be used by the Kids Snow Sports School to record achievements. We have also added Free Easy Rider access via the Home Basin Express in beginner Snow Sports School lessons. Free helmet rental for kids is now available when hiring gear from the upgraded Treble Cone Rental Shop. Plus there's more snow fencing, upgraded mountain signage, free wi-fi access for guests around the Base Building, new furniture on the Cafe Sun Deck and our sparkling new Treble Cone website which is now live across desk top, tablets and mobiles at treblecone.com

If you notice that the Treble Cone staff are even happier this winter, it may not be just that they work at the mountain with the most interesting and fun terrain and friendliest guests, but also due to the extension and upgrade to the staff room facilities, new staff drying room, and new uniforms for all mountain staff.

There's just six weeks to go until Treble Cone officially opens on the 27th of June.
