It all kicks off tomorrow!! Coronet Peak's snowguns have been pumping out the white stuff, when they have been able, for a couple of weeks now. Coronet will be opening the Coronet Express and Meadows Chairs for main run riding only. After early snowfalls in April and again in May it has been warmer than hoped recently causing Mt Hutt to postpone it's opening date to June 14th at this stage. For all opening dates check out the NZ Snow Sports Events Calendar or NZ Snowreports.

Tonight at the Rialto in Wellington Warren Miller's Ticket to Ride is showing, do you have your tickets? If you miss tonight, there is another showing on Sunday. The newest chapter in the legendary film series, Ticket to Ride will take filmgoers on an action packed journey with the world's best skiers and snowboarders. Witness athletes at their career best, and discover the paths that put them at the top of the steepest peaks in the 64th annual ski and snowboard film, Warren Miller's Ticket to Ride.

The other BIG event coming up is the American Express Queenstown Winter Festival which kicks off in two weeks time. For the next couple of weeks that weather can throw a variety of conditions at us. It the last five years the WinterFest has had; no snow, floods, a big freeze and a huge snow storm which closed all of the airports and roads in the district. We have our fingers crossed for snow this year.

We're looking forward to a fantastic season! Get into it!

Snowco has enjoyed bringing you that latest snow industry information since 1995. There was only 18,957 websites on the web when we started) and we're pretty proud of that. We hope that you will joining us this winter. You can find a little about our history here...
