Skia ora *|FNAME|*,
There is soooo much excitement about the imminent ski season. Firstly, there is just 16 days to go! Check out all of the opening dates on the New Zealand Snow Sports Calendar or on the NZ Snow Reports page. Mt Hutt and Coronet were the first ski areas in the Southern Hemisphere to turn on their snow guns this morning. At Hutt, this is the first time since an avalanche took their system out last season. They are putting the finishing touches on the Curvy Basin express chairlift at The Remarkables and the lower section of road is now sealed!! TC, Roundhill, Hutt and others have new groomers and staff training is just about underway.
Has that not hyped it up for you? How about this? Tomorrow at the Hollywood in Sumner and the Rialto in Dunedin, Warren Miller's Ticket to Ride is showing, do you have your tickets? The newest chapter in the legendary film series, Ticket to Ride will take filmgoers on an action packed journey with the world's best skiers and snowboarders. Witness athletes at their career best, and discover the paths that put them at the top of the steepest peaks in the 64th annual ski and snowboard film, Warren Miller's Ticket to Ride.
Not in the Canterbury or Dunners? Don't dispair, if you're in Auckland and need gear DO NOT miss the Auckland Uni Ski Sale. In Queenstown they don't miss out either, the Wakatipu Ski Sale is on this Sunday at the Q'town Event Centre.
